Graduation 2008

It was so much fun to shoot this young group of graduates. The girls were sparkling in their gowns, and the young men were pretty tough looking in their suits.  It was a very hot day, with a very bright sun overhead, but we managed okay, and I think we got some good photos out of the deal.  Here are some of my favorites. The Girls from behind _v_b

Jones Lake

Some more pictures from our day trip to Jones Lake yesterday.  Lucas loved exploring along the shore and searching for things he could to throw into the lake.Lucas 5

It really is breathtaking up there.  This place tops my list of most naturally beautiful places I've ever been.

Nathan was content to just sit in one place and play with some toys.  (The grass and sand kinda freaked him out, so he didn't venture too far off the blanket). Nathan 1 Thumbs up.  Lucas reeled in his very first fish at the tender age of three.  (Very proud moment for his papa).

A bumpy road led to this..

Jones Lake View 1

Yesterday we had the treat to witness first hand this magnificent view.  (I encourage you to click on the photo to see it even bigger).  Only God could come up with something this beautiful.  Just gorgeous.  And, as the title says, the road that led to this view was bumpy.  Very bumpy.  In fact it was the longest 9km we've ever driven.  But absolutely worth it.  We spent a good 7 hours up there yesterday and didn't really want to come home.  I have a lot more photos to share from our day yesterday but I'll have to post them a little later.  The boys are running me off my feet this morning, and I'm going to need a few more cups of coffee in order to keep up with them. :)

Pink Lips and Blue Eyes

2008-06-23 11
We just got back yesterday from a few days camping.  It was great, and I took lots of pictures.  This one is of my niece Elayna, taken at our campsite.  We had a patch of bright light up above the campsite, surrounded by trees.  So when she turned her eyes up towards the light, they just lit up.  And her lips turn pink when she's tired.  I only did my basic editing for this one, I'll share some more just as soon as i get organized.  I have a bit of a busy couple days ahead of me.  This afternoon I'm shooting a graduation and tomorrow I'm catering an Anniversary for 140 people.  (Yikes!  Just a wee bit nervous)  On top of it all, it's Nathan's 1st Birthday today!  I'll post again when things settle down a bit. :)

Beautiful Family

Last week Saturday, I had the pleasure of doing my very first "official" photo shoot with this beautiful family.  As I'm still in the process of learning, this was of course charity work. ;-) Krista is due in a couple weeks with #3, and has the most perfect little round belly!  Their two little boys sure kept me running!  It was a great experience and a lot of fun.  Here are a few of my favorites.Family Photo 8a Boys 3 closeup  Dad and Boys 2 Mom 1 b-w Mom and Deacon b-w
